Never even knew they sold just straight coffee. Hope it’s good!
LOLLL Sesame Street Fighter! It’s a typing game though, not actually a fighting game.

Haha I really like these Dota2 comics! This one in the spirit of Valentines Day coming up (because that’s totally something that I celebrate).

You know you’re screwed for a class when even after getting the solutions to a problem set you still can’t figure out how to solve the problems.
I watched The Lion King musical in LA this weekend and it was great! Pretty much everyone goes into the play having already seen the movie and basically knowing what’s going to happen, but that doesn’t even take away from the experience AT ALL.
There were slight variations from the cartoon film here and there. Some changes in how some sequences played out, some new jokes, some new songs, etc. My sister and I even caught how they used songs from the not as popular Lion King 2 but it still flowed very well. I will admit though, there was one change that caught me completely off guard and even now I really don’t understand why they had to make that change.
Scar tries to holla at Nala because he decides he needs a queen for some sense of fulfillment. Somehow she was the clear choice and, based on his lines, he was bent on having her. I just found this so weird because I felt like they didn’t even really develop this subplot much. The play kind of just mentioned it a few times then continued with the story just like the film. We were definitely scratching our heads a bit trying to figure out the purpose of that addition.
*END SPOILER ALERT*
That aside, what really impressed me about this play was how well they executed everything. I’ve seen quite a few plays that relied a lot on special effects or high-tech set ups, but for The Lion King, it seemed like they kept it simple but managed to keep it amazing. I was especially impressed at how they portrayed the animals. The actors really learned how to move and behave naturally with their costumes and puppets which really added to the immersion. They also did an outstanding job of using shadows and silhouettes to paint a scene. And just like the costumed actors, the shadow puppets moved so naturally that it never broke the immersion from the play.
I was also reminded of a very simple lesson that I feel is such common sense in theory but is often times difficult in practice. As the wise Rafiki says it, “The past can hurt. But the way I see it, you can either run from it, or learn from it.” I tend to just ignore or avoid the things that hurt me, and although I can probably comfortably continue living that way, I think in some ways I’m really setting myself up to not change and advance as a person.
I guess I still have a lot of learning to do.
This time I managed to let it go.
OH LAWDY I DIDN’T END UP FAILING ANY OF MY CLASSES IN MY 1ST QUARTER OF GRAD SCHOOL. GAHD I WAS SCURRED (that last one cuttin it close)
Yeah the new controller is great! I was able to start using it pretty much immediately. Gotta love the extended cable too.
I think despite the cheerful attitude that I tend to show, I’m actually a really depressed person. I’m just so good at not showing it and have gotten so used to how I am that I don’t even realize it myself.
So this finally came in today. Time to get back into melee? Time to get back into melee.
Man, I really don’t like classes.
SO WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING IN GRAD SCHOOL?!
